"Cheirotonus jambar" Description
Family Scarabaeidae. Body length: 50–60 mm. Distributed in Okinawa. The largest beetle in Japan. An endemic species of Okinawa Island that breeds in large trees with hollow cavities. Males have remarkably elongated forelegs, useful for climbing trees and serving as weapons in combat.
