"Rhomborrhina polita" Description
Family Scarabaeidae. Body length: 25–27 mm. Distributed from Hokkaido to Yakushima Island. As the name suggests—kuro means "black"—an entirely black-colored flower chafer. Inhabits low mountain areas and is attracted to the sap of sawtooth oaks and konara oaks. Less numerous than Kanabun or Ao-kanabun.
