"Callipogon relictus" Description
Family Cerambycidae. Body length: 80–110 mm. Distributed on the Korean Peninsula and in Russia. A large longhorn beetle that was also collected in Miyazaki Prefecture around 1970. Although feared to be on the brink of extinction, successful captive breeding has raised hopes for population recovery.
