"Mole Cricket" Description
Gryllotalpidae family. Body length 30-35mm. Found from Hokkaido to Kyushu and the Southwest Islands. Digs holes with mole-like forelimbs and lives underground. The male's "jee" sound was once thought to be the sound of earthworms.
