"Seashore Earwig" Description
Forficulidae family. Body length 18-36mm. Found from Hokkaido to Kyushu and the Southwest Islands. The most commonly seen earwig. Nocturnal and lives in damp, dark places. Uses its tail scissors to catch small insects.
