"Phymateus saxosus" Description
Family Acrididae. Body length: 50–130 mm. Distributed in Madagascar, southern Africa. Feeds on highly toxic plants and accumulates the toxins in its body. When attacked by a predator, it discharges the stored toxins from glands at the base of its thorax and hind legs.
