"Migratory Locust (“Kurumabatta”)" Description
Acrididae family. Body length 40–60mm. Distributed from Honshu to Kyushu and the Southwest Islands of Japan. Smaller than the Tonosama grasshopper, with distinct wing patterns. Named "Kurumabatta" because its wing patterns resemble wheels when flying.
