"Black Green June Beetle" Description
Scarabaeidae family. Body length 25–27mm. Found from Hokkaido to Yakushima. As the name suggests, a completely black beetle. Inhabits the submontane zone, gathering around the sap of oak and other trees. Compared to the common beetle and the metallic green beetle, it is less numerous.
