"Phraortes elongatus" Description
Family Phasmatidae. Body length: 65–112 mm. Distributed from Honshu to Kyushu. The most common stick insect in Japan. Compared to Nanafushi-modoki, it has longer antennae and forelegs longer than the middle legs. Inhabits sunny mixed forests and low-growing grasslands.
