Tettigoniidae family. Body length 25–46mm. Distributed from Honshu to the Southwest Islands of Japan. Inhabits deciduous forests and grasslands. Difficult to distinguish from Hatakenoumaoi by appearance alone but characterized by its long, drawn-out chirping.
