"Xylotrechus chinensis" Description
Family Cerambycidae. Body length: 15–26 mm. Distributed from Hokkaido to Okinawa. Feeds on the leaves and living wood of mulberry, chestnut, and apple trees. Known as a pest of mulberry. Mimics the appearance of a wasp, which helps deter birds and other predators.
