"Epipomponia nawai" Description
Family Epipyropidae. Body length: around 10 mm. Distributed from Honshu to Kyushu. Parasitizes cicadas such as Higurashi, feeding on their body fluids. In the final instar, the larva becomes covered in pure white cottony fibers, then detaches from the cicada host to pupate.
