"Taraka hamada" Description
Family Lycaenidae. Forewing length: 10–17 mm. Distributed from Hokkaido to Kyushu. A butterfly with white wings marked by black sesame-spotted patterns. The larvae feed directly on aphids, while adults drink honeydew secreted by aphids as well as flower nectar.
