"Pyrops candelaria" Description
Family Fulgoridae. Body length: 35–42 mm. Distributed from southern China to Southeast Asia. A relative of cicadas with a long snout-like projection on its head resembling the nose of a tengu, a creature from Japanese folklore. Prefers to feed on the sap of fruit trees such as lychee and longan.
